Several plants can be used for the treatment of hypertension, I will show you a small list of them, to take into account but not suffering from hypertension, as prevention.

This list consists of plants for domestic use in the treatment of this disease, and can be observed, the mistletoe, hawthorn, garlic, celery, lemon and corn, but the list goes on.

Mistletoe is good for this because it strengthens the heart, prevents arteriosclerosis and reduces cholesterol and also lowers cholesterol, in addition to dilate the arteries to prevent the formation of thrombi in the same, the celery is a very good diuretic as low blood pressure; the Parietaria is used in ailments where it is good to remove fluid from the body.

This list will be added as efficient for the treatment of hypertension chicory, abelud, lavender, olive trees, grass, the hibiscus and the intake of rice.

Use these plants in phytotherapy for the treatment of hypertension, mean that these plants are:

  • Vasodilators that reduce blood pressure.
  • Diuretics that eliminate fluid from the body and expel the excess sodium, thereby lowering blood pressure. The use of these plants is an alternative to chemical diuretics.
  • Antithrombotic that prevent clots in arteries or help to eliminate them.
